CICADA International Inc. (Contemporary Independent Creative Artist Development Agency) was established in July 2009 as a not for profit committed to developing a focused Marketing, Media, Management and Recording infrastructure for Australian Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Indigenous artists trying to break into the mainstream music industry. In consultation with the ATSIA Board of the Australia Council; CICADA aims to address a major gap in the area of marketing, management and production for emerging Indigenous artists and is actively involved in mainstream media & music industry advocacy to this effect.
